The HR International Car Shakeout is a simple system to operate, using the push button pendant controller, to lower the discharger onto the wagon and finally discharge the load. Coke, coal and other materials which are subject to packing due to dampness or frozen conditions can be easily and freely discharged by one man. Such a system has been proven on many installations to cut man-hours to man minutes - over 50 different types of material! The Car Shakeout consists of a unit, which is lowered onto the sides of the wagon on four substantial feet. Vibrations are transmitted to the sides of the wagon, immediately freeing the contents, which then discharge rapidly. Its usual to have a fixed hoist over the discharging point for raising and lowering the discharger onto the wagon, which is then shunted in line underneath it. This system eliminates the need for expensive hoisting equipment.
